actor. dancer. singer.
Well Hi!

I'm Trent Tyson (he/him). I was born in Fredericksburg, Virginia and with some detours along the way, I ended up in Austin, Texas. There, my true love for musical theatre was born. However, I had my eyes set on being on stage ever since I can remember. When I was young, my grandmother bought my family tickets to the circus. I immediately was enthralled by the theatricality of it all but the thing that really caught my eye was the clowns. That's right, I wanted to be a circus clown. Growing up, my parents hardly knew what to do with me, except to graciously participate in my living room productions. Eventually, I settled on theatre and I was hooked. Upon my arrival in Texas, I soon joined the Pre-Professional Company at ZACH Theatre. There, I was guided and urged to hone in on my creativity and begin to refine my abilities.
After deciding to pursue musical theatre as a career (and more detours of course), I ended up at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. At BoCo, I applied my love for physical comedy and storytelling to my journey in the discipline of dance. I am so thrilled to have worked with my amazing educators and peers to grow and reach out of my comfort zone! I now live in New York City to further pursue my aspirations as a professional performer. I am thrilled to enter a brand new industry and I'm excited to witness and be a part of necessary change.
Aside from performing, you can catch me jamming to 80s music, catching up on my queer history and cooking up a mean feast!
